Angel Sanchez is an architect by trade, and a designer by choice. He draws
from the former in creating elegant eveningwear and bridal gowns that are
architectural and contemporary while still being feminine. Sanchez designs
from an international Latin-American perspective, which combines a cool
sophistication and a soft romantic look.
Sanchez has been intrigued with fashion since childhood. "I believe that
being raised in an atelier among dress forms and fabrics, watching my mother
sew, made me wonder about the magical abilities in her hands. My mother was my first
inspiration, because of her taste and determination," said Sanchez. He
began his fashion career in his native Venezuela in 1987, designing both bridal and
eveningwear. He employs traditional couture techniques when creating a
design by infuses each gown with a modern twist. His ideal client is one who knows what she
wants and what looks good with her personality.
